I am tracking Daniel and Mary (James) Gwin's son, John b 1841/2 Ohio.He married 20 NOV 1867 Richland County, WI, Adelade "Addie" Dodge (dau of Daniel White and Harriet (Smith) Dodge.Daniel W Dodge was originally from Tompkins County, NY.
John and Addie are in the 1870 census with son John, bc 1868. They are next found in 1876 Twp 64, Atchinson, MO with Charles W bc 1869 Wisconsin, Jesse bc 1874 Illinois and Addie's sister, Hattie Dodge ae 16.Charles W Gwin died 29 JAN 1890 and is buried in Cain Cemetery, Maryville, Nodaway, MO.I'm wondering what happened to little John bc 1868.
In 1880 Addie has apparently died and John has remarried to Sarah Ann (O'Neall) Gill, widow of Edwin Gill of Green County, WI.There is a daughter, Martha M. Gwin b SEP 1879 MO and I am not sure if she is Sarah's daughter.
I can't find the famiy in 1900, but in 1910 Martha has married her step brother, Alfred A. Gill and they are living in Sheridan, Sheridan, WY along with her father, John Gwin.John died 21 MAY 1915 Sheridan, Sheridan, WY.His tombstone can be found on findagrave.com.
