What proof is there that this James (father of John, James, Elizabeth, William and Evan of Greene County, TN) is the son of Patrick Gwin and not a descendant of Robert of Calfpasture? Jesse Blaine got it wrong.
No one seems to know James birthdate either. I've seen several sources that say 1747. Others variations of that date or even as early as 1725. What documentation is there for the 1747 figure besides Blaine?
I'd like to see some original documentation, including Patrick's will. If anyone has such, please let me know. This line of the Gwins is very frustrating! Thanks!
