I'm not sure if this will help, but while searching for some Poyner information in Missouri, I got a family group sheet of John Rose Guynn & Mahala Beatty. Eldest son is Granville H, b. May 10, 1831 (presume in Greene Co., MO since some of the other kids were born there). According to the LDS website, Granville m. Nicey Ann Bowden, who was born abt 1832 in Fentress Co., TN. Thus birth places and ages are consistent with your census information, and "Nancy A." isn't too far from "Nicey Ann." The hand-written family group sheet I was given lists Granville's wife as "Nicy." As stated, this may or may not help, but I thought it was worth relaying....
