where is Guynes

I have an ancestor whose name was Randle Janney. In researching him I found that someone relates Janney to Guyney and then to Guynes and submitted information that he was the greatgrandson of the Count of Guynes. His grandfather was Lord of Haverland. I would like to know where is Guynes and if anyone else has seen this Janney/Guyney/Guynes relationship. Also, I have seen information that Guynes is the same as Guyon or Guion. The Janney family was a well known Quaker family but I have seen somewhere that Guynes is French Huguenot. Any clarification would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ruth Gravitt
