While researching Wilkes Co. GA records in Salt Lake City LDS Library, I found the following in the Index to Land Grants 1784-1839:
Pg 228 "Robert GUTTERY 100 acres Broad River".
This is not my line so I don't have other details:I just thought it might help someone.
I also looked at these Wilkes Co. GA records but found no GUTHRIE or other similar spelling.
1) Index to Deed and Mortgages 1785-1901 (microfilm FHL 163600 and 163601)
2) Abstracts of Wills 1790-1852 and marriages 1790-1832 of Wilkes Co. compiled by Mrs. Vernon LeMaster.
3) General Index to estates 1780-1925 FHL # 163527
4) Heirs and Legatees estate book Index FHL # 163528
