The DNA project has to be conducted on a male carrying the surname. I was suggesting that when you get the Guthrie line identified, you might find present-day descendants
of that family who possibly could be candidates for testing.
Mr. Hill's DNA will only be applicable to the Hill DNA project as the y chromosomes in males carry the traits of descendancy.
