Just wanted to update a little more some of the information I had, since I found out a bit more about James and Sarah Jane (Huff) Guthrie's children online today, after I posted the original message.

James and Sarah Jane had six children:

7. Marion Delmar, b. 1 Dec 1850 in Highland Co., OH; d. 18 Oct 1915 in Houston, Harris Co., TX; m. Clara Louella Laird on 23 Feb 1879 in Jefferson Co., IL. (Statewide marriage index for Illinois lists her last name as Saint; however her death record states her father's last name was Laird, and there is at least one history of Jefferson Co., IL, which states that Clara Laird married "Dell Guthrie".)

8. John Edward, b. 5 May 1852 in Highland Co., OH; d. 28 Dec 1937 in Houston, Harris Co., TX; m. Maggie Griggs.

9. Emerson L., b. Feb 1855 in OH; m. Anna Meyers about 1886; d. 16 Mar 1935 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN. (Death information for "Emmerson L. Guthrie" -- with two m's -- as well as his wife's maiden name, from the scanned index cards at http://browning.evcpl.lib.in.us/ which is the Browning Genealogy site which has abstracted information from the obituaries in various Evansville, IN, area newspapers from the early 1900s to the present.)

10. Sebastian C. Guthrie, b. 16 May 1858 in OH; m. Mary (or May) Ann Grant on 26 Feb 1880 in Belle Rive, Jefferson Co., IL. Died between 25 Jan 1920 (when he was listed as surviving his half-brother, Sorency) and 16 Mar 1935 (when he wasn't listed as a survivor in his brother Emerson's obituary). Resided in Houston, TX, in 1920.

11. Frank S. Guthrie, b. 29 Nov 1861 in OH; d. 26 Feb 1939 in Seattle, King Co., WA; m. abt 1884 to Lucy B. Smith. His death certificate actually lists his parents as "Edward Guthrie" and "Ellen Huff", but his birthdate tracks with earlier censuses, and Sorency's obituary states that his half-brother Frank lived in Seattle, WA, in 1920. There is exactly one Frank Guthrie listed in the 1920 Seattle, WA, census.

12. Louellia, b. abt 1864 in OH. Died sometime between 1 Jun 1880 and 25 Jan 1920, as she was not listed as surviving Sorency in his obituary.
