Hello,

I wish to find relatives or other sources who can tell me anything about my grandmas uncle, Erik Gustaf Gustafson and his family. He was born in Sweden on 24 January, 1864.

Regarding to the Swedish emigration CD, Emihamn he immigrated to America in 1888, 4 May. His first name on Emihamn is only spelled as E G. His destination were Rutland, I assume Vermont. I have not a clue where he went in the US, but I have an old photo of him, quite young taken in a studio in Denver, Colorado.

His younger sister also left for America one year after him in 1889. Her name is Selma Bloomquist and I have found her up in Massachussets, Brockton. She was married to an Emil Bloomquist and had two sons.

There is no sign that her brother Erik Gustaf also lived in Massachussetts, he could have lived anywhere in the States. I only know for sure that he spended some time or lived in Denver, Colorado. Erik Gustafs (and Selmas) parents names where Gustaf Nilsson and Maria Larsson (mothers name in swedish: Maja Kajsa Larsdotter, or soundex). The parents where both born in 1836 and both of them died in the year 1918.

I would be extremly grateful if someone will find a marriage certificate or any other record or just tells me anything, that will take me further in my search after Erik Gustaf Gustafson and his family. As American that is possible that he spells his name Eric Gustaf, EG or just Eric. Surname can be spelled: Gustafson, Gustafsson, Gustavson or Gustavsson.

Thanks, /Helen Arvidson, Sweden.
