Gustafson - six brothers,one sister
A very enterprising member of my family did a pretty comprehensive booklet on the "Descendents of Gustaf Jonasson and his wife Eva Andersdotter through their six sons and one daughter."Gustaf and Eva were born in 1810 and lived until 1881 and 1873 respectively in Nora Stamphult, Smaland, Sweden. I have some information on their parents.Their six sons were Carl Petter, Johannes, Israel, Johan, Frans and Otto.Their daughter was Lina Stina.
Carl Petter - 1834 to 1922. Took the name Carlson, lived in Elgin, Illinois when he died.Wife, Helena.
Johannes - 1840 to 1911.Came to the US with wife Charlotta in August of 1970. Lived in St. Charles, Illinois.My g-g-grandfather.
Israel - 1842 to ?.Married Johanna Christine, lived in the Elgin, Illinois area
Johan - 184? born, died in Sweden, children immigrated to nw Illinois
Frans - 1845 to 1927. To New Lebannon, Illinois.Married Emily Victoria Holtman from Geneva, Illinois (Rockford area)
Otto - 1847 to 1911. Married to Eva Charlotta Samuel Thorsonsdotter.First to Geneva,Elgin in Illinois then to Holdrege, Nebraska.
Lina Stina - 1836 to 1871. Married and lived whole life in Sweden. Some children did go to Michigan.
