St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, Feb. 8, 1917
Mrs. Charlotte Gustafson, widow of the late John Gustafson, died February 1st, at the hom of her daughter, Mrs. Charels Nord, 74 Pleasant sreet, having reeached the age of 78 years, 9 months and 11 days.
She was born in Sweden April 20th, 1838. She was united in marriage ot John Gustafson and the famiy came to this country in 1871, locating in the vicinity of St.Charles.
the husband died six years ago. the last few years Mrs. Gustafson has been in feeble health, the end coming as a relief from continued suffereing, and the fulfillment of her wish to enter the land of eternal happiness and glory.
Mrs. Gusfafson is survived by the following sons and daughters; Mrs. Amanda Nord of St. Charles, Mrs. Hannah Anderson of Grenada, Minn., Frank Gustafson, Elgin and Charles Gustafson of West Chicago. She is also survived by 24 gradnchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funerla was held from the Lutheran church Sunday to North cemetery. The pallbearers were all grandchildren.
