Candy: Thank you for the great information. It is interesting how this business goes. I have been tracking my family (Gauthier) through Upper Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Quebec. Pretty much a piece of cake with all the wonderful records. But I thought I could not even get started with my wife's ancestors; Strand and Danielson. Then someone found a two year old query of mine, a week ago. She was also looking for the same family and had some great informaion. So I restarted the engine. And then you provide this wonderful data. I am a real novice in Swedish naming practices. It is already clear though, that a name like "Magnusdotter" would not sell in the U.S. Now if I can just keep track of Daniel's son, and Gustaf's son, etc, maybe I can make some progress. From the information you sent, it seems like you know a great deal more about these people and events. Have you gotten your information from the LDS films of the Swedish records?
