St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Nov. 24, 1932. 4 Hurt Before Crossing Signals Are Up. Four motorists were hurt on the East Main st. Chicago Great Western crossing about midnight last Friday, when they collided with the tender of a switch engine. The car, which had been headed east, was badly wrecked and its occupants were taken to the St. Charles City hospital where they were treated for facial cuts and bruises.
None of the injuries were termed serious. The party was from Villa Park and consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Guse, Arnold Guse and Mrs. Mildred Bawker. It was reported that the state commerce commission has ordered the railroad company to install a warning flash signal at this crossing.
