Jame Gurley, Montgomery Co., N.C. 1790

I have a James Gurley listed in the 1790 census for Montgomery county, North Carolina. According to it he is of course the Head of the House. It lists (besides James) one male over 16 yrs, and one male under 16 yrs of age. does anyone have any info on the descendants of this James. Did they by chance go to Texas.
