Nancy Gurley was born about 1815 in Virgina. She married George N. Whedbee in Jamestown Virgina
After George N. Whedbee Sr. died (1842) Nancy and family moved in an ox cart from Jamestown, VI to Knox Co., TN. The 1850 Census found them in Anderson Co. TN.
George N. Sr. & Nancy's children went (George N. Jr., William Thomas, Davis Bryant and Richard B)
Alexander Packett married Nancy Gurley-Whedbee-widow-on Dec. 10, 1848, in Knox County,TN. In 1850 this family settled around Wallace Crossroads, later named Andersonville in Anderson Co. Tn. To this union was born two daughters-Sarah Packett-married Bennett Weaver. Nancy Packett-married ??Walker
Anybody who can help with information regarding Nancy Gurley and George Whedbee, there ancestors or descendants would be appreciated.
