Hi Merv,

My ancesters were Gurds from Donhead St Andrew.
I have James & Elizabeth GURD in my tree. One of their sons, Charles Henry Gurd, was my great-great-great grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth "Bessie" ROOK.
James and Elizabeth also had James, Elizabeth, twins Ann and George, and Edwin, as well as Charles Henry Gurd.
Does any of this ring a bell?
I do believe that their must be a connection there somewhere, as there are not too many Gurds getting around!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Shae.
