Guphill/Guppell/Guibal of South Carolina

My ggg was Eleanor C. Guphill, b. ca. 1807-11 to Zacheriah and Margarett Guphill. They lived in Richland and Kershaw counties, SC.
Zacheriah's brother was William Guphill who is buried with 1820 tombstone in Old Quaker Cemetery at Camden, SC. Their parents were Edward and Elizabeth Guppell who were in Amelia Township by 1759, William's birth.

In the 1690s to ca. 1709 (lost will), there is a JOHN GUPPELL in Charleston. Is he the progenitor of Guppells who went up river into central SC and eventually spelled both Guppell and Guphill??

Few are working on this family. NEED HELP!!
I am a direct descendant.

Please contact here and will send e-mail.

David in East Texas
