Thank you soo much for your reply. I will call my grandparents and ask if any of this info (names and places) are farmiliar to my grandfather (the son of Bussie Mae Gunther and John Cogar/Smith). I am highly interested in continuing communications with you to compare some more info. I have a sneaking suspicion that these names you mention are connected to the info that I am searching for since most of my family were bootleggers. It is widely known in my family that my ggrandfather was a transporter of moonshine and others. He was known to transport to Detroit (where I was born), Chicago and New York. I suspect that I will eventually have to take a trip to KY, VA and WVA to try to search for more clues/info in court, cemetary and vital records offices.
