I don't know any direct information but as a fellow adoptee I would be happy to do some research. I too was from from the Los Angeles area and know how difficult it is to get your adoption information. I married into the Gunther family but they didn't move here until 1960. There is a large Gunther family in the San Fernando Valley, you might look into them. We were the only two families in that area.
I might suggest going to the adoption section of the general forum of this website. One of the gals there, "Magoo" was able to help me locate my birth family back in 2002. It took her all of 3 days. I had even had professional help and they couldn't find any information. Sometimes adoptees are the best hunters. You might give it a try.
I will try to see if I can find anything. Do you know what hospital. This might help.
