Green Berry Gum and Nancy Baker Kentucky

Looking for the parents (and, of course, all the information I can get) for Green Berry Gum and Nancy Baker of Kentucky. The earliest census record I can find is Lee County, KY, 1870, with Berry listed as 41 (thus b. abt 1829); Nancy as 36 (thus b. abt 1834). I tried to move back in the census records for the "parent" counties for Lee but could not find anything. Nancy was born either in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Virginia (she changes her mind from census to census). They had several children all born in Kentucky: Ellen 1853; Margaret 1858; Clarinda 1859; Abraham 1862; Mary 1865; Eliz 1864; Cordilla 1870; James 1874 (my guy). Dates are based on the census records and are approximations. Any relatives? Thanks
