Hi Cuz Dot Howard; Sophia Tucker Gullick had another sister named Margarett Elinor Gullick
who was b in 1820 in N.C. Margarett Elinor was my gggmother, she m Anderson Churchwell in
Wayne Co. Tn.. in 1844. I have an 8x10 picture of them sitting on the log for a step of the log house
Anderson built just before they married. I also have a copy of James Clark Gullick's will dated as I
remeber in 1858. After his death his wife Jane Baldridge Gullick and son Larkin Stowe moved to
Tx. and then back into Western Ark. Jane died there in abt 1874. James Clark Gullicks parents
Jonathan Gullick and Margarett Baldridge. Jane Baldridge Gullick was the dau of Margarett Baldridge
brother Alexander Baldridge . Thus James Clark Gullick and his wife Jane Baldridge were first
cousins.....
When Jane Baldridge Gullick and son Larkin S. sold James Gullicks land the man who bought it
not pay as he he had promised so Anderson and Margarett E. Gullick Churchwell sued this man. I
have a copy of the law suite and it tells where the children of James Gullick were located . The one
out of state had to send noterized statement for the court. Some of the Voorhis desc moved to Tx.
also......I have nothing on the computer but all on paper, done before computer days. Do have a desc
chart on many of the desc of James and Jane......Grover Pope in W.Tn.
