My gggrandfather William Lazarus Gulley of Conecuh Co., AL, first married Elcy Caroline Nettles and had several children by her. I'm descended from that line. Elcy Caroline died young (27 y.o.). William L. then married Frances E. Jones (b.~1838) on Feb. 17, 1857 in Monroe Co., AL. William L. and Frances had 4 children whose names I know: Calvin (died young); Martha (died young); Cuyler Callahan (b. 1876; married Elizabeth/Eliza Brantley; DOD unknown); and Jones (b.~1878, d.~1928). They also had several unnamed children who died young.
I have no info specifically on Jones Gulley other than the approximate birth/death years. Pretty obvious he was named for his mother's family name. I have no other info on Jones' mother Frances E. Jones. Email me if you want more info on ancesters of William Lazarus Gulley.
