My ggggg-grandfather is William Gulley b. 1737 in Duplin Co., NC; married Bethanea Hinnant. His father is the same William Gulley (1697-1752) you cite. I'm hunting for a source record for William Gulley being born ca 1697. There is a family tree posting on rootsweb (#11674; "Byrd and Johnson Family") that offers up a 1712 DOB for William Gulley. A 1697 DOB seems very plausible; but I'd sure like to have a citable source. Also, your posting is the first time I've seen the name of William's wife and my gggggg-grandmother Martha Smith. Is there a source record for her name?
