Thanks, Tom, but almost all of these databases are incorrect. George Gullett (1813)was, in fact, the son of Samuel and Rebecca Thompson Gullett and was born in Maury County, TN. However, he was not buried in Refugio County, TX. He died sometime between the birth of his last son in 1857 and what we know to be the date of the remarriage of his widow in 1860. His son George Washington Gullett was born in 1855 in Mississippi and soon after George(1813) and wife Emily relocated to Bell County, Texas. George Washington Gullett(1855) lived near Peoria, Texas where he farmed and his first family was born of wife Caroline Green(Greer.) Around the turn of the twentieth century the family relocated to Tivoli Ranch in Refugio County, Texas. Caroline died in 1905 and George(1855)subsequently married Rosa Rachel Haas Zahn with who he had a second family. George perished in a house fire in 1941 and is buried in the Tivoli Cemetery, Tivoli, Reugio County, Texas.
We believe George(1813) served in the CSA during the Civil War and was captured and incarcerated in Ohio where he died in a prison camp....but our documentation is scanty.
