Hello, Sorry for the delay as I have been out of country. my ancestor Levi Gulick's wife, harriet Miler, was born in Ohio also. I had read a blurb somewhere that the Gulick brothers/cousins had made a side trip to ohio on the way to Illinois. Levi was born in Virginia, son of George Gulick of Loudon county. George also had a son named William. Note also that there is an Alfred Gulick on the 1840 census in Decatur, Illinois and then shows up later in Champaign Co. George also had a son named Alfred. Levi and John Gulick settled in Decatur Permanently, although I read an article indicating Levi had died of Cholera while returning from a visit to his father in Virginia in 1852 and isburied in Logansport, In. I will look into my files and see if I can find more on the Champaign Gulicks. There is also a Gulick family in northwest Illinois. Sorry I don't have more at this time. Good luck. Scott Wallace
