Hello Paul,
Gulick/Apgars in the Civil War: I'm researching the extended Apgar family's service during the Civll War.I wondered whether the descendants of John Gulick (1781-1866) and Barbara Gulick (1783-1867) of Hunterdon Co. NJ (both buried at Reformed Church Cem in Lebanon) could be among them.John and Barbara had 11 children:
1. John W. Gulick, b.1806
2. Conrad Gulick, b.1807, m. (1)Emily
Nitzer, (2) Rachel Emmons
3. William Gulick, b.1808, m.Margaret Dufford
4. James Gulick, b.1810, m. Elizabeth Leigh
5. Elizabeth Gulick, 1811-1816
6. Charles Peter Gulick, b.1814, m.Sarah Ann
Clark
7. Maria Gulick, b.1817, m.Jesse Everitt
8. Margaret Gulick, b.1819, m.Isaac Pickle
9. Cornelia Gulick, b.1821, m.Icabod Fisher
10. George Gulick, b. 1823, m.Mary Leigh
11. David Gulick, d.y.
It isn't likely that any of these people were soldiers during the CW, but there children would have been of military age during the 1860s.If you have information on who these children were, I could look up whether they have records of service.I'd be happy to share any other information on the Apgar family and other Apgar/Gulick links which might be of interest to you.
Mike Apgar
