Hi Cindy -- This is very interesting. I don't know anything about your "Lon", at least, not yet. However, I've been trying to trace the parents of my g-grandfather, Joseph Lindsey Guinn, to little avail. What interests me about you "Lon" is that Joseph -- who presumably came from KY -- and his wife, Margaret Brewer Guinn, (Brewers all from Hancock Co. TN) had a young son named Alonzo, nicknamed Lon, who died of pneumonia at around age 5-6. Lon was probably born in the late 1890s.
This is a very unusual name for KY/TN, and I wonder if my Lon wasn't named for his grandfather -- who would be the Lon you're looking for.Any information would be greatly appreciated, and I'll keep my eyes open, too.
