Peggy, The Jeremiah you speak of with a child by the name of Gilbert had family which settled in Lamar County. The late Judge Foy Guin of Russellville is said to be of this line of Guin's as documented in a compendium of history compiled by Michael Guin of Moore's Bridge, Alabama, near Tuscaloosa. I have a copy of this which I can send at your request.
