HINESVILLE, Ga. - Kenneth Blue Guill, son of the late Martha Combs Guill and the late Marion Blue Guill of Augusta, Ga., succumbed to a sudden and fatal heart attack on March 30 while visiting family in North Carolina. Ken was an elementary school art teacher for more than 20 years for Department of Defense schools in Germany before transferring to Brittin Elementary School in Hinesville, GA in 2004. Prior to that, Ken was a faculty member at Georgia Southern College in the 1970s. Ken was 58. Ken is survived by his son Todd Guill and granddaughter, Morgane Guill of Seattle, WA and his daughter Erin Leonard of Marshall, NC. He is also survived by brother, Charles Guill of Augusta, GA. The family will hold a private memorial in South Carolina in late April. They can be reached at ebleonard@msn.com. Family asks that donations be made in Ken's memory to the National Art Education Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes quality art education by providing grants that support in-classroom projects, arts education research and materials and professional development for art educators.
