Guild of 542 I am 12 generations from John and have had the same suspicions myself. I am not from the "deacon" line, but the same folk lore about Indian heritage has been passed down through my family as well, but using the Iroquoi instead.This is a mystery I would love to resolve, but it has been daunting and with no results.
