Jennet Guffin was born March 4th 1764 in newry county down ireland. At age 9 she left Ireland with her three brothers Sailing to virginia. upon arriving in Virginia she and her brother andrew traveled to danbury ct where she met my Ancestor Joseph boughton jr from there they moved to schodack new york settling in Nassau where the family flourished. up to 1968 the boughton family has recided in new york around the towns of nassau, summit, north chatham, troy, syracuse new york.
