Unfortunately, I don't have a list of the children of John & Josephine ADKINS.You said that the death certificate of Daniel gives the name of his mother as Elizabeth ADKINS.That may well be correct, however, as you read in my previous posting, you can easily see that sometimes earlier records are not always accurate either. They can only be as accurate as the person's knowledge who supplied the information for the record. We always need to make note of all the different things we find, and hope that eventually we may come to discover the correct information.I'm certainly NOT intending to say that the information I have is correct and other information is not correct--that is NOT my intention. Also be aware that sometimes people have written a person's actual name on some records and in other documents record the name by which the family called the person. It can be confusing sometimes.
Incidently, in the previous posting I made in this thread, mention is made of Henry "Hal" GUFFEY and his brother, Richard GUFFEY.They married ADAMS sisters, as you probably know.Their father was Ephraim McGUFFEY/GUFFEY, Junr.Earlier this fall it was proposed that a monument be made for Ephraim McGUFFEY/GUFFEY, Junr. and his wife, Nancy, and placed at the Davis Chapel Cemetery in Kentucky which is in the community where they lived. I sent a notice to as many of the descendants of this couple as I had addresses to ask if they had an interest in this possible monument with perhaps a "GUFFEY GATHERING" of descendants in the summer of 2003 (if the new monument becomes a reality). If you or any readers here who are descendants of Ephraim & Nancy are interested in this possibility, please let me [email protected] Guffey
