Pierre Guertin was 24 years old (said the parish priest) when he married Marie-Cécile Cochu who was 21. Pierre was the son of Amable and Marie Archambault. Marie-Cécile, from Saint-Antoine, was the daughter of François and Marie-Geneviève Colin dite Laliberté from Lavaltrie. At their wedding there was Joseph Guertin, uncle of the groom, Jacques Guertin, cousin of the groom, Pierre Lavimodière, uncle of the groom, Charlotte Cochu, sister of the bride, and Joseph Robidou, brother in law of the bride.
