Pierre Guerri, son of Jacques Guerri, emigrated from France to Ireland and then to South Carolina in America. This would have been sometime between 1650-1675. It is possible that he had siblings who went with him to Ireland and then returned to France. His son Francois was born in Dublin. There is a red tone to the hair of many of my relatives and we all have pale skin. The name changed to Guerry, probably as an Anglization in the late 18th century. The area of France that they came from is Seuvet en Poitou or Sepvret (Province of Poitou-Charentes near Niort). I've seen it both ways. If you know the area, perhaps you could find birth records in a Church or town hall and then share the information.
