My grandmother, Great-great Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Grandmother are from Saltillo, Mexico. They are Demetrio Sr, Demetrio Jr, and Rosa Guerrero.I also remember my Great-Grandmother.Her name was Tomasa. I have a picture of these people if you would like me to send you a copy.
All I know is that my Grandmother was born in 1897.She lived in Bryan,Texas almost all her life. She is buried here.I know she had several brother's and some sisters. They are Rudolfo Guerrero, Candelaria Guerrero, Selso Guerrero, Maria Guerrero, there are others, but I can't think of their names at the moment, I'll get back with you on that.I have a cousin named Rudy Guerrero that lived in San Antonio, he is now deceased, but he does have a son named Rudy also.
It would be great if you can give me anymore information about the Guerrero in Saltillo. There's also that chance that they could now live in Monterey. My father is Francisco Guerrero Moreno Lopez. His biological father was named Roman Moreno, but Rosa never married him.My father changed his name to Lopez when he was 19 years old.I don't know why.Rosa Guerrero has 4 more children, another daughter from a Luna, her name was Candelaria and then she
had 3 more children with Gregorio Lopez. However, she gave them all the last name Lopez.Rosa never changed her last name.
Some history about Rosa Guerrero that I know. She never married, had 5 children out of wedlock, she was mean, very mean. She died in 1980, I think, I can't remember. She was a tough lady. When she was pregnant with my father, the father of the baby left Rosa for Rosa's niece, and her name was Juanita, she was Candelaria Guerrero's daughter, Rosa's sister.I always thought that was funny, because Rosa ended up naming one of her daughters Candelaria.Rosa also rode with Zapata during the revolutionary War in Mexico.I also have a picture of her if you would like for me to send it to you.
Who knows, it may not be the same family, but I think it's worth a shot.I have been doing family history on both my father and mother's side.
There was another story about the Guerrero family.I think there is an Alvino Guerrero, I'm not sure.Apparently he was poisened by a girlfriend. There is also another one, but I can't remember his name, but he died in a freak accident. He apparently got his by a trolley of some sort while walking through Monterey. If any of these stories ring a bell, hey, give me a holler.I enjoy hearing about anyone's family history, even though it may not be my own.
Thanks alot!
Gina Constancio
With so many different family names, I guess you could say
that my name is
Virgina Vada Zamora Moreno Guerrero Lopez (God know what else) Constancio, but I go by Gina.
