Hi Carol. The old James Anderson farm (around the north bank of the north branch of Stepstone Creek, far eastern Montgomery co., KY) is typical for central Kentucky. Rolling, undulating hills, farmland, fields. It is chopped up into quite a few small farms - mostly cattle farms, some may raise a little tobacco. Stepstone creek is tiny - 20 feet across at it's widest. North branch 5-10 feet at it's widest.
I was going through my genealogy box the other day and "found" a photocopy from "Manakin Huguenot Society" Nos. 1-7, KY Historical Society Library 284.5/H874m in which is a very detailed record of James and Jane Anderson family. If you E-mail me your mailing address I will send you copies. It would take me several hours (or days) to type you all this info here on the GenForum.Anyone else who would like copies of this may also request to: [email protected]
Just for your info. my mailing address is 409 Indian Mound Dr. Mt. Sterling, KY 40353
I think I found this periodical in 1991 when I was researching at Frankfort, KY (capital) and threw it in my box and totally forgot about it. Regards.Wallace.
