MARCELO CHAPA GUERRA SR.
Marcelo Chapa Guerra Sr., 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at Ebony Lake Nursing Home in Brownsville.
Mr. Guerra was born on April 17, 1922 in Marin, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Zoila Pizana Guerra; son, Miguel Angel Guerra; parents, Isidoro Guerra, and Martina Chapa.
He is survived by his children, Marcelo (Juanita) Guerra, Francisco (Ofelia) Guerra, Irma (Gilberto) Manzano, Jesus (Letty) Guerra, Heliberto (Sandra) Guerra, Ruben (Norma) Guerra; brothers, Isidoro Guerra, Manuel Guerra, Generoso Guerra, Julian Guerra, Jes�s Guerra, Fructoso Guerra; sisters, Adelina Galvan, Otilia Rodriguez, Dora Gonzalez, and Sara Guerra; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grand children.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park
Serving as pallbearers will be Osbaldo Guerra, Esequiel Guerra, Daniel Guerra, Miguel Angel Guerra, Gilberto Manzano, Matias Gomez, Alex Gonzalez, and Jose Manzano.
