For a number of years, we have been up against a genealogy "brickwall" regarding Martha Forgeson's parents:
Benjamin Forgeson and Rosannah ____ of Morris co. NJ.
We had been assuming that Forgeson was really Ferguson.
However, I have recently discoverd that Forgeson is a name in its own right. They seem to have come from England, especially the Corwall area. There was a Samuel Loree who married a Hannah Forgeson in Southold, L.I. NY and possibly sons: Samuel jr. and William Loree who turned up in Morris Co. NJ. Sam seems to have witnessed Ben Forgeson's will.
Any information of Loree and Forgesons in Morris co. NJ would be apprectiated.
