GUDGEL and Nancy Ann WITHERSPOON. John was b. 1841 Gibson Co., IN. Nancy was b. about 1845 Gibson Co., IN. Hattie had one known sister, Melissa, who died in 1902. John K. GUDGEL was the son of William GUDGEL (b. 1801 KY, d. 1877 IN) and Lucinda THURMAN (b. 1806 Gibson Co., IN, d. 1887 Gibson Co., IN). Both William and Lucinda are buried in the old GUDGEL Cemetery on the family farm in Gibson Co.
