Correct I am Paul O. Gubbins, I live in Little Rock at the info you found, not Cato. My Grandfather was Joseph Xavier Gubbins, some of the things I know about him was that he attended St. Ignatius Prep School, he was a WWI vet, he was President of Patterson Parchment Co., which made paper that meat and dairy products were wrapped in. He died in 1957, before me or any of my brothers were born. He was in is mid-to late 60's when he passed away. He may have had sisters, I am not sure on that.
Micheal was indeed a relative. My brother has his police badge. I am trying to find out from my brothers if he was my grandfather's brother or uncle.
My father is named after my grandfather (Joseph Xavier Gubbins). He was born in February 16 or 17th (there's conflicting records)in 1934 (could be 1935). He has a sister Mary Noel Gubbins, who was born on Christmas day (hence the name). I believe she is 9 years older than my dad. She married Joseph Durkin, and she now resides on the east coast, (my dad resides in Phoenix). I do not know the exact date of when my aunt got married, however I know my dad was either entering college, or was one or two years into college. So I would guess sometime in the early 50's, because her oldest son (Joesph) is pushing 50. My dad married my mom in August of 1957, shortly before my grandfather's death. My mom's name was Alice Theresa Doyle, her parents were immigrants from Ireland (I know more about that side of the family than my dad's). My mom came from the Southside of Chicago in the Paulina neighborhood. Her father, who died in 1996 was a cemetary worker.
I have three brothers (Joseph Xavier Gubbins of Kankakee, Colin John Gubbins of Glenview, and Matthew Thomas Gubbins of Kankakee), in that order. I am the youngest
