Hello Gary!
My former country is El Salvador, and I have been living in Australia (3 months in Brisbane and the rest in Melbourne)for 11 years, with my wife and daughter.
One of my grand uncles, by the name of Frank Townson, settled in El Salvador and Guatemala and married one of my grandfather's sister (Josefina Llerena, Guatemalan-Salvadorean). He arrived from England probbably circa 1920; he was one of the founders of the Bank of London and Montreal in Central America. That is all I know about him. Of course I knew him when I was a child. I am trying to find out some information on those branches. I shall be thankfull if you could help me if, by any chance, you happen to know some details, or at least the origin of your surname.
I know it is difficult, but the hope is there.
Thank you for replying to my message; let me know if I could be of any assistance to you.
My email address is [email protected]
Best regards,
José Ricardo Leiva-Llerena
