I don't know anyone in your family but was interested to find out that Henry B. May worked on the railroads in Guatemala. My great-grandfather Wilhelm L. Strecker was called by President Justo Rufino Barrios before 1885 to work in the construction of the railroads first on the line San José-Escuintla-Guatemala City, and later on the line Puerto Barrios-El Rancho. He died of yellow fever in Colón, Panama, during construction of the Panama Canal.I am interested in the history of the railroads in Guatemala and would like to exchange information.I live in Richardson, Texas, and have dual Guatemalan-American citizenship.
