I descend from one, Jacob Greider, b @1680 Palentine, Germany, who with his wife Elisabeth and two children, Jacob jr. b @1703 in Germany and Mary, b. @1704, Germany are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1728 when Jacob jr. marries Mary Stauffer Friedt, daughter of Paulus Freidt and Elisabeth Heistand Stauffer. They have twelve children, Jacob III, Marie, Johannes Friedt, Elisabeth, Paulus, Barbara, Christian, Jacob (?), Katherine, Ester, Michael and Frederick Sr. who moves to Old Burke County, NC and marries Elisabeth Obedience________ and is my ancestor.
