I am searching for Abbott info. Stuck at Benj. Abbott b. 1812 m. Caroline Willis. However, I am also in the same area with a Grumbles conection.

This is what I have:
Capt. John J. Grumbles m. Caroline __. I do have that he was a Texas Ranger and second owner of Barton Springs, TX.

His son, Thomas Anderson Grumbles m. Eliza Hulen in Lamar Co., Texas, 1865 (From marriage book). He also married Sarah Jane Bishop on Feb. 7, 1883.

He arried Eliza on his way home from the Civil War. Sarah Jane Bishop b. 2-13-1856, Upsher Co., TX. Known as Jane. Her father died when she was about 8 years old, towards te end of the Civil War. She moved to Milam Co. in 1869 and in 1872 married George Scott. They had three children: Oliver, died young, Mollie, married Thomas Clark, and Maggie, married Ned Mars...

Sarah and T. A.'s children: Emma, Ollie, Otto, Ova, and Lillian.

Sarah Jane Bishop also m. a George Scott. and had: Oliver, Mollie and Maggie.

Sarah Jane is the dau. of James Oliver Augustus Bishop and Margaret Stiles.

The Stiles/Styles are also connected to my Abbott family, as is Oliver.

Most of my lines marry into the Adam Lawrence line. He donated Lawrence Chapel. Adam m. Sarah Lucinda Miller, dau. of Capt. Simon Miller of the Original 300 settlers of Austin's group. Adam was present at the surrender of Santa Ana.

I have one the most complete lisitings of Lawrence Chapel Cemetery if anyone needs a lookup.

my surnames include: Oliver/Olive/Briggs/McWhirter/McCormick/Browne/Lawrence/Wroe/Miller/Reade/Reid/Lawhon/Layne/Lane/Abbott/Grumbles etc.
