Hello Jan,
I am working on this same family. Here is a part of my reconstruction of this family:

       24. Mary Bunner married John Grubb, son of Samuel Grubb (35). John Grubb probably was a descendant of John and Frances Grubb, Quakers, who emigrated in 1677 and settled at Chester, Pennsylvania (418). John and Mary (Bunner) Grubb are said to have raised a large family at Grant Town, Marion County, West Virginia. According to Scott Randolph Bunner, the Grubbs were a pioneer family in Clinton District, Monongalia County, along Tom's Run, a few miles north of White Day Creek (594). Mary had died by December 1816. John Grubb's will, dated Monongalia County 15 December 1816, was probated in Monongalia County in January 1817, indicating that John died in December 1816 or January 1817. His will shows that his farm neighbored that of Richard W. Smith (formerly the farm of Simon Riggs) and Amos Bunner. The executor of his will was James Morgan. Witnesses were James G. Watson, James S. Ferrel and John Bunner (5, 161, 417).
Children:       6141. John, born circa 1798
6142. James, born Va. circa 1802
                     6143. Amos, born circa 1803
                     6144. Mary, born circa 1805
                     6145. Martha, born circa 1807
                     6146. Enoch, born circa 1809
                     6147. George, born circa 1811
                     6148. possibly Samuel

6143. Amos Grubb, born circa 1803, married in Harrison County, 28 January 1827, Mary ("Polly") Basnett, daughter of Winney Basnett. They resided (1830) in Harrison County, Virginia, in 1850 in Barbour County, and in 1860-70 in Upshur County, West Virginia (161, 435, 775). According to researcher Patricia Kaye, Amos married first Mary Basnett, daughter of Nehemiah Basnett and Winnie Cummings. He married second, circa 1842, Emily ________, born circa 1820. Emily died 11 May 1858. Amos died in Upshur County, West Virginia, 21 August 1876 (775).
His will reads as follows, “I Amos Grubb of the County of Upshur ... being weak in body ... this twenty first day of August 1876. I ... make my last Will and Testament in manner following ... I give and bequeath to my daughter Emaline Willfong and the heirs of her body all my Estate both real and personal... And as to my sons Thomas Grubb, Enoch Grubb and Andrew Grubb and my daughters Mary Ann Grubb, Sarah Reese, Elizabeth Maxson and my son-in-law Thomas Robinson have all had their part in hand heretofore, be it understood that my grand daughter Marien Robinson is to have a certain quilt, and lastly I do revoke all other Wills made heretofore ...” Witnessed by Samuel Reese, George Warner, and William N. Foster (775).
A great-great-great grandson is ______ Pace, whose wife Cathy is a genealogical researcher.

I have lots more on this family and will be happy to share. But I do not seem to have your husband. Could you please send me the line connecting you and your husband to Elizabeth Maxson? I would very much like to fill out the descendants of Elizabeth and Timothy Maxson more fully.

Please write to me at abunner@surfbest.net using an e-mail address that I can reply to. Your address yields a "relay access denied" error message.

Best wishes,
Alan Bunner
