Hi again,

Just found this in my notes. Most of this came from the Settle History book, which I had made copies from various sections concerning my possible connections. I prob. also found other data, which is included too.

Newman Settle (probable son of Strother Settle and Mary Browne), born prob. King George Co. ca 1742, died intestate Bedford Co. 1831-33. He owned property in Amherst Co, but died in Bedford. Estate settled 1835 Bedford Co, naming 9 kids.
Newman came from Culpeper Co. to Bedford Co. after 1797, porbably. Married in Fauquier Co. ca 1769, to unknown. She was prob. born ca 1745 in King George Co, and died Bedford Co. ca 1810-20.
Issue from first (?) marriage, all prob. born in Culpeper Co.:

Triphene b. ca 1770, m. 1797 William Lansdown
William b. ca 1772 (died in Va prob. or TN) *
Strother b. ca 1774 , d. 1830 Culp. Co., m. Margaret
Fielding b. ca 1776, d. Bedf. Co pre 1870, m. Margaret
