Still trying to find ANY information on my maternal gfather, EDWARD GRUBB (b 20/11/1882)...have very little info to go on....know his father was Edward, as we believe was his gfather...his mother was ELIZABETH RENNICK/RENNIE (Sp?)could have been his father's 2nd wife, first wife may have been Mary (nee Unknown) could have been the only child of that 2nd marriage..he had 6 sisters..dont know any of their names.lived, we beleive in the Portsmouth area...he joined the British Army and served in India for some years before coming to Australia c1911..he met and married my gmother CHRISTINA MARION HARRISON in Melbourne,Australia in November 1912...all contact then was broken with his family in England as his father disinheirited him from that time on...any possible info will be looked into...perhaps one of his sisters may have talked about their brother to their family, this "black sheep" of a typical "Victorian" family who's only fault was to marry a local Australian girl...his mother and sisters were said to have had connections with the early days of the Salvation Army in England...I have contacted them and been told that most of their records of that time went up in the Blitz....please help us...someone somewhere must know something about his family..
