They were married 18 March 1861 in Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Her parents were James Grosset or Grossart, born 1904 in County Armagh, Ulster, and died 16 October 1893 in St John's Hill, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Mary McLean, born 1808 in Ireland, died 7 July 1872 in Gallery Close,Canongate, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Sarah was the eldest; her siblings were

Robert
Mary
James's second marriage was to Mary Jeffrey, born 1838 in Leith, Midlothian, Scotland on 29 June 1880 at 3 St John Street, Edinburgh. Mary died 16 May 1917 at 83 West Port, Edinburgh, Scotland.
James's father was also named James and we show his wife's name to have been another Mary Mclean, or Maclean,
Most of the descendants moved south to England.
