Wife of Charles/Carl Grosse of Cincinnati, OH

There are some trees out there that state that Mary REBOLD was the wife of Charles/Carl Grosse. Where did this come from?
Charles/Carl Grosse married Mary? about 1871. The following death certificates of some of the children show the mother as Mary BOHRER, and some variations.
Edward Grosse, b. 18 mar 1872, d. 8 Mar 1937
father: Charles Grosse mother: Mary BOHRER
Emil Frank Grosse, b. 2 Dec 1874, d. 2 Dec 1947
father: Carl Grosse mother: Mary BOHRER
Anna Mary Grosse, b. 17 Mar 1878, d. 18 Jun 1952
father: Carl Grosse mother: Mary BORRER
Margaret Dora Grosse, b. 18 Mar 1885, d. 25 May 1948
father: Charles Grosse mother: Mary BOHRER
Carl John Grosse, b. 20 Jul 1887, d. 10 Sep 1936
father: Charles Grosse mother: Mary REBEL
Adaline Grosse Groll, b. 20 Feb 1876, d. 10 Feb 1958
father: Carl Grosse mother: Mary BOHNER (Ada Groll parents from Vine Street Hill Cemetery data on Find-A-Grave)
All were buried in Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, except for Emil F. who was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery.
So, it looks like Mary Bohrer was the wife. I don't know why Mary Rebel shows up with Carl John. Did Bohrer marry a Rebel after Charles/Carl's death, yet he was the father? I have never found a marriage record showing Mary Rebold. Can anyone out there straighten out the wife or wives of Charles/Carl Grosse, b. 1853 in Germany, d. 1887 in Cincinnati, OH...I think?
Also, "Perl" is not Carl John's middle name; this is a misreading from a census record, "Carl" not "Perl".
Any information on the family would be greatly appreciated. Joe, Summit, NJ
