I, Simon Groce, Sr. of the County of Surry and the State of North Carolina and being in sound, etc; thanks to God I make and ordain this my last will and testament.

I give and devise my estate both real and personal as follows:Firstly, all my just debts and funeral charges be paid.
I give and devise my estate both real and personal as follows:Firstly, all my just debts and funeral charges be paid.Secondly, I give and request to my belove wife to have the use of the plantation during her life and widowhood with all the stock and household furniture.To my daughter Suffier a certain cow and calf and 4 heads of sheep, bed and furniture that belongs to the same and the rest of my daughters to have namely 10 shillings each - and my sons Peter Groce, Simon Groce, Jr., and Jacob all of them to have 10 shillings a piece and all remaining property proper to remain with my beloved wife May for her support during her life time.
