Hi Wilma:
Hi Wilma:
Sorry, but I don't have any military information on JACOB or RICHARD other than the following paragraph out of my larger writeup on their father JACOB.
---------------------------------------------
The next reference to this family group was in 1777 when Jacob Gross was listed in Captain McCorkle's Militia Company, in what was by that time old Montgomery County. In 1781, Isaac, Richard and Thomas again appeared on the militia list of Abram Trigg.Richard and Thomas were listed in sequence. In 1782, Isaac, Jacob and Richard were listed on the tax rolls for old Montgomery County. As mentioned above, Isaac moved to Bedford County in the 1780's.Since a Jacob Gross and a Richard Gross also occur in the Bedford County records in the late 1700's, it appears that Isaac's two brothers, Jacob and Richard, also moved to Bedford County. As discussed in the history of Thomas Gross[5], Thomas had apparently moved to nearby Washington County by 1781, where his brother John Gross was living.
